On an ice shelf, what does accumulation eventually cause?

    Ok so let's start off with the definition of accumulation which means the acquisition or gradual gathering of something. Or in simplest terms it means the buildup or pileup of an object which in this case is the ice on the shelf.

    Perhaps, the accumulation will definitely cause the ice on the shelf to minimize and start turning into water so it will shrink the size of how it was originally was
