The folks were full of misery, then. Got sick with the up and down of the sea. So they forgot about flyin when they could no longer breathe the sweet scent of Africa.

Based on this excerpt, why did the people who were captured stop flying?

They were saving their power to escape.

They did not want anyone to know about their special power.

They were able to fly over land, but not over water.

They missed the safety and comfort of home.

    We don't actually know they can fly. Not A

    Same reason for B, but the implication is there.

    If we know C, it is not because of this passage.

    The answer is D. They were miserable from the rocking of the sea and they missed the sweet smell of Africa.
