Why does Odysseus remind his men of their fight with the Cyclops? He wants to remind them that they have defeated great monsters before. He wants them to use the same plan that they used against the Cyclops. He wants to take their minds off their current trouble. He wants to intimidate Scylla with his strength and wit.
