What can you conclude about what Victor was feeling in this passage?

The time had finally come for Victor. He slowly walked up onto the stage in the school auditorium. Taking a deep, shaky breath, he looked out into the audience of classmates. He could feel hundreds of pairs of eyes staring back at him. After wiping the sweat from his forehead, he adjusted the microphone and looked down at the note cards he had prepared.

Victor was confident.

Victor was sad.
