The use of "pathos" as a rethorical device is evident when someone draw upon people's emotions or try to get an emotional response from he audience; Brutus' speech is packed with rethorical devices when talking to the people of Rome, but a clear example of his use of pathos occurs when he appeals to the feelings and emotions of the mob as he inquires them about being proud to be Romans.
