Which sentence uses a verb that agrees with its subject? A. The bats in this cave hang upside down. B. The vegetables in our garden has wilted. C. At one time, the fur of squirrels were used for hats. D. Many farmers in this area grows cotton.

    A - it is present tense and makes sense

    B uses 'has' which would be used for the singular 'vegetable' not plural 'vegetables'

    C 'the fur of squirrels' sounds as though it would be plural but it refers to the fur of all squirrels as one object so should be 'was'

    D should be 'grow' because it is plural
