"The Crucible" (1853) by Arthur Miller is an allegorical tale that relates most strongly with The McCarthy Hearings

    Explanation:

Allegorical Tale has a superficial meaning which make a tale completely comprehensible, but if studied on deeper level, there is another meaning.

Joseph McCarthy was an American politician who started in 1950s trials of those (including Arthur Miller) he believed were communist. He had no evidence against those people. Arthur Miller wrote this allegory in response to these trials which were similar to witchcraft trials of Salem.

The Gulf War, and 9/11 took place long after Arthur Miller's play and they don't even have any trials based on no evidence. The Holocaust too hardly involved any trials in the courts.
