Anthony was an advocate for women's rights who also led the fight in late 1800's that ultimately earned the female suffrage. She argued that the preamble of the Federal Constitution referred to how all US citizens, regardless of sex, had the blessing of liberty, which should be true to all Americans, even the ones that were yet to be born.
