"The Song of Wandering Aengus" is a poem written by William Butler Yeats. It is a story of Aengus, god of love and beauty. It talks about the time Aengus went fishing and the fish turned into a beautiful girl who ran away from Aengus. Aengus searched for his elusive girl until he grew old.

"The Raven" is a poem written by Edgar Allan Poe. It is a story of student whose love was lost and can't get over her. He continually asked the Raven and its constant answer of "nevermore" triggered the craziness of the student that slowly consumed him.

The tone in "The Song of Wandering Aengus" is very light and hopeful while the tone of "The Raven" is very depressing and filled with suspense.
