    In Chinua Achebe's renowned novel, Things Fall Apart, he speaks of how Missionaries came to the village of Umuofia and wanted to convert people to a new religion.

    They were given land in the Evil Forest where ancestral spirits were supposed to harm them but once that didn't happen they gained a lot of converts.

    These missionaries came in tandem with a colonial administration and Governor who was later shown to be British.

    History will show that British missionaries usually went to colonies that were either under British authority or heralded it. Therefore we can assume that the Missionaries were British.
