The 39th birthday of Eddie drastically changed the lives of Eddie and his wife Marguerite. This day made Marguerite bed ridden for sometime and their relationship became cold.

"The Five People You Meet In Heaven" is a novel written by Mitch Albom. The story is about Eddie who, after his death, meets five people who impacted his life, in heaven.

The fourth person that he met in heaven was his wife, Marguerite. They look at the flashback on the 39th birthday of Eddie when he gambled at the racetrack with his friend Noel and won the gambling as well. He called Marguerite to share the news of his winning, which upsets her and she yells at him and ask him to come back home right away. She then feels guilty of yelling at her husband and decides to go to Eddie and bring him back home. But Marguerite was met with an accident which left her bed ridden for sometime. After this incident, there relationship was overtaken by an air of silence and they would hardly speak to each other.
