What is the distinction between memoir and creative nonfiction?

    Nonfiction, defines the genre simply, succinctly, and accurately as "true stories well told." And that, in essence, is what creative nonfiction is all about.

    Memoirs are written by real people who tell true acts that happened in their life time.

    A mempir is basically a "memory", its something somebody writes based off of true events, a biography, or maybe even events that happened in their lfe. creative nonfiction is something an author creates, to entertain his or her audience with the genre of fiction.
