    Tybalt is Capulet's nephew and Juliet's cousin. He detests the Montagues, and he is explosive and ill-tempered. We see that Tybalt becomes extremely angry when he finds out that Romeo is attending the Capulet's ball. Capulet, however, calms him down. He tells him that Romeo is a good citizen, despite the fact that he is a Montague. Moreover, he reminds him that he is the head of the household, not Tybalt. We can see that Tybalt's angry personality provides a foil to the calmer Capulet.
