What types of people do you believe keep a diary or journal? Why do you think people write in a diary?

Everyone keeps a diary in some shape or form. People use them as outlets, to express themselves. It creates an opportunity to have a conversation with yourself, and not feel crazy. Others can use to remember their life, and give their future selves advice.

Any type of person can keep a diary or a journal. I believe people write in a diary because it's much easier to write down how you feel than to actually express it. There are other reasons people write in diaries though. Some people enjoy writing and a diary is one way for them to do something they love.
