The theme that the tragic deaths of Haemon and Eurydice reveal is that B. the ultimate authority belongs to the gods. Haemon and Eurydice are characters from Antigone, and they both took their own lives due to Creon's bad decisions. Creon sentenced Antigone to death, and given that Haemon was to marry Antigone, he couldn't bear the pain and committed suicide. Eurydice, Haemon's mother and Creon's wife, also committed suicide once she saw her husband is dead. This is to prove that the gods, not Creon, have a final say when it comes to people's lives.
