In the story of "My Brother's Keeper" where Ted and Jamie are the brothers. It was shown that they developed in contrast to one another by describing their emotional reaction. In the story, it was Ted who is older than Jamie however, Ted is a lot more dependent to his younger brother Jamie especially when untoward incidents happened.

In this story also, Ted wanted Jamie to give him an alibi in court, in short, Ted wanted Jamie to tell the court that he was with him the entire night and day when the incident happened. Ted pleaded Jamie that he may lie in the court and save him from the mess he is in right now.
