Explanation: "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley often called 'The Modern Prometheus', some also proclaim it to be called as 'The First Science Fiction' as it contains the characteristics of a science fiction like work of fantasy symbolized by the monster created by Victor, breaking away from the reality and leading to the tragedy which was the outcome of relentless pursuit of science. The novel is written in the form of frame narrative with an epistolary form (written in the form of letters) containing the Gothic characteristics and some romantic traits like dealing with the reality. In the first seven chapters the chain of events begin with the introduction of Victor's parents, his childhood in Geneva, his education at the university of Lngolstadt, his confinement to studies after the death of Elizabeth and becoming motivated in self control breaking away from family and friends. Then in chapter seven he introduces the monster and himself horrified by the creature and falls into illness. Then, he receives Elizabeth's letter in which she shows her will that Victor should write. Then comes the most shocking letter notifying William's death and spying of that creature by victor. These chapters gives an impression of family and kinship at the beginning as we see the concern of family members for each other, after that we are explored to Victor's character traits like his thirst for knowledge and its consequences, disappearing of dream with reality when William cuts himself from the outer world and later after William's death he wishes to restore things back.
