    The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a law which was passed in United States stating that every person deserves an equal Right to Vote regardless of their communities, religion, or caste. It aims that no racial discrimination will be made when it comes to voting.

    But the author feels that there are some modern voting laws might be intended to prevent minorities from exercising their civil rights. The author further states that African American is denied of their basic civil rights and citizenship.
