The best place to find complete information about the sources for a research paper using the MLA citation format is:

    D. In the works cited at the end of the paper

In MLA format, every in-text citation should be referenced in the works cited and vice-versa. One can find the works cited at the end of the paper. In the works cited, one can find the author, published date, publisher, in some cases the link, what type of source it was (book, article, journal, etc) and the date the source was accessed.
