    This theme can be summed up in Lysander's line in Act 1 Scene 1: " The course of true love never did run smooth". This quote means the same as the theme, the path of true love usually has a lot of obstacles. The other couples in the play face obstacles too and have to get over their fights and disagreements in order to get to the happy ending.
