What role do conflict and resolution play in narrative?

    Conflicts are important in narratives for there to be drama to thrill readers and compel them to read on. A conflict is the problem of the story, and every conflict needs a resolution that will solve the problem.

    These two elements, therefore, are important for storytelling and narratives.
