Why do state tourism departments spend money on advertising? to encourage tourists to visit and spend money in the state to encourage the state's population to feel good about the state to establish political power to establish who is most creative

    Generally the major motivation of advertising is to invite people to come and by a product. In the case of tourism, the product are the services in the area. So if a state tourism department advertises its area, the aim is to " to encourage tourists to visit and spend money in the state" - this is the correct answer
