Examine this quote and determine Mrs. Dubose's feelings about Scout:

"What are you doing in those overalls? You should be in a dress and camisole, young lady! You'll grow up waiting on tables if somebody doesn't change your ways."

What does Mrs. Dubose think will happen to Scout if she does not start acting like a Southern lady?

A. She thinks if Scout wears overalls she will grow up and think she is a man and won't know her place in the world.

B. She disapproves of the way Scout dresses like a tomboy and thinks no man will ever marry her unless she wears dresses.

C. She is from an era where ladies only wore dresses. She thinks it is improper for Scout to behave this way. Girls were supposed to mind their elders and do what was expected of them.
