The short answer to this is that Woolf states Judith Shakespeare would kill herself at the end. The more complex answer is that Judith Shakespeare shows much of the same intelligence and creativity as her brother William does, however, it is not cultivated because of the time period. Judith, being a woman, would be unable to display her creativity and it would instead be quelled by work in the home.
