Can someone give me a short essay about who is your favorite President and why.

President Abraham Lincoln is my favorite president, because he did many great things. One of the favorite things I learned about him was how honest he was. My dad says, "Mean what you say and say what you mean." This reminds me of Lincoln.

President Lincoln didn’t have a great education, but he was able to become a lawyer, Illinois State Legislator and a United States House Representative. He was an example of being able to do great things with hard work. Most kids can’t even do those things nowadays.

In 1860, he was elected to be our president. He led our country through a very difficult time, the Civil War.

Lincoln fought to stop slavery.

I like that he fought to abolish slavery and fought to save the rights of people. That means so much to me because then little boys and girls don’t have to be sold to an owner while their parents are somewhere else.
