In the story "The Interlopers", the two rivals have been quarreling with one another for a piece of land that they does not even belong to them. However when they get realize that their rivalry and vengeance is futile, they were already too late. They were fighting for a piece of land that belonged to nature and the wolves have already arrived to claim it.
