As a result, Anne did not feel close to her mother and their relationship was not very positive.

However, the relationship between Anne and her father was entirely different. Anne's father understood her personality much better and scolded her less often and more mildly and lovingly. Anne felt much closer to her father and had a positive relationship with him.
