Sherlock Holmes is a fictional private detective created by the British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Referring to himself in the stories as a consulting detective, Holmes is known for his proficiency with observation, forensic science, and logical reasoning that surpasses that of an average person. He doesn't work for anyone - people come to him. And some see him as a psychopath or sociopath due to his self-isolation and active imagination.
