The IPDE process is a method of seeing, thinking and responding used in driver's education. Each letter stands for Identify, Predict, Decide and Execute.

    In bad weather you would

Identify, scanning the area you're traveling and thinking of the repercussions of the weather (slippery asphalt, ice on the roads, low visibility etc)

Predict, watching the others and their maneuvers into your path

Decide, according to what the others are doing to place your vehicle

    and

Execute, doing what you need to do inside your car to get it to that position, whether it is speeding up a bit or slowing down, braking, etc, always mantaining control of the vehicle
