In what way is the character of sir Gawain different from other epic heroes such as Beowulf

Without question, then, Beowulf and Sir Gawain are epic heroes by definition, although Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is written in Medieval Romance tradition and it too short to be considered an epic poem as is Beowulf.
