According to Samuel P. Huntington, institutions are valued, stable, recurring patterns of the behavior.
Institutions can be refered to the mechanisms of the social order tha govern behavior of the set of the individuals within the given community. They are identified with some social purpose which transcends individuals and also intentions by mediating rules which govern living behavior.
