    Flattery:

    1. Effects of flattery

    2. Why we fall victim to flattery?

    3. Flattery is all around us

I find the second limited topic to be most interesting. "Why we fall victim to flattery" is something that every individual experiences. Although consciously, we know that flattery is some kind of a dishonest description of or reaction to someone that is usually expressed on a personal basis, we often use it to avoid conflict or to simply make small talk. We have become so accustomed to flattery that it has become a part of daily speech.

Getting into the root cause why many of us fall victims to flattery, that is, we enjoy flattery even if we know it is not true, could lead to serious psychological and sociological studies and evidence. This seemingly innocent habit may be rooted in some problems that need immediate action before it would cause damage to both the give and receiver of flattery.
