    The answer is c because Candy was excited to leave the ranch to live on a farm with Lennie and George, but since Lennie killed Curley's wife, George tells Candy it isn't going to happen. Candy felt no sympathy towards Curleys wife at any stage in the book, and so the answer wouldn't be b
