The West-side rich kids and the East-side greasers are the opposing forces in S E Hinton's "The Outsiders".

    Explanation:

The greasers are the young people from the poorer side of the town of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and are so called from their greased hairs and rough appearances. Meanwhile, the West-side rich kids, like the tag itself, are those rich kids from the west side of the town. And they all drove corvettes and wore madras, basically having everything they want.
