What did Acrisius do to try to keep the prophecy of his death from being fulfilled? He set his daughter and her child adrift at sea in a sealed chest. He banished his daughter from the kingdom. He had his infant daughter left on a hillside to die. He tried to ride up to Olympus on Pegasus to reason with the gods.

    After Acrisius learns that Danae's son will end up killing him through a prophecy, he first imprisons Danae. When Zeus impregnates Danae, Acrisius then sets daughter and child adrift at sea.
