List five common gestures or nonverbal behaviors practiced in the American society that have a different meaning in another culture.

    1.) Thumbs up or an OK sign can mean trouble in some parts of the world.

    2.) Scratching chins. In Italy she was giving them the middle finger.

    3.) Extended open palm. This actually means "I'd like to rub excrement in your face," in Greece.

    4.) Fingers crossed. Vietnamese people think it means crossed fingers look like lady parts.

    5.) Hook 'em horns. What it means in Italy, Portugal, Brazil, and Colombia: "You're so dense, you don't realize your wife is cheating on you".
