In Herman Melville's MobyDick, why does Starbuck obey Ahab even though he disagrees with him? because he is loyal and has served with Ahab a long time because Ahab threatens him if he doesn't obey orders because he knows MobyDick's capture is worth a fortune because he fears the men will harm him if he doesn't cooperate
