Answer: Rapunzel's mother growing ill and giving birth to Rapunzel, who has magical powers, Gothel stealing Rapunzel

Explanation: The queen, Rapunzel's mother, grows ill and the King, desperate to save his unborn child and wife, orders his men to find the sundrop flower so that he could give his wife the flower in water to drink. From this, Rapunzel is born as a princess with the flower's magical powers. However, mother Gothel wants to stay young forever and after finding out that the princess has the power of the sundrop, she tries to cut some of the princess hair (source of magical power) but the magic fades when the hair is cut so Gothel just stole the princess altogether.
