The competence of drivers can contribute to the occurrence of road accidents if the driver has enough skills and knowledge in driving there is a lesser chance of getting into an accident because he is familiar with the rules and regulations on the roads, the signs, and speed limits allowed but if he is not knowledgeable about all these things, the worst accidents are about to happen.

The substance abuse could actually contribute to an increase of the tendency of road accidents because the consumption of such prohibited substances can affect or skew the driver’s perception and judgment on anything on the streets that would lead him to become reckless.

The pedestrians too are part of the reasons for road accidents for people fail to make use of it properly. They tend to disregard being careful when crossing the streets.

The cyclists are also part of the increasing road accidents because they can cause chaos and disorganization of the vehicles on the roads. They must have their own separate lanes because they are vulnerable to getting side-swept by other vehicles.

The livestock especially in rural areas can cause a lot of road accidents because they are free to roam around and even cross the streets that would caught the drivers off guard making them lost their controls of their vehicle leading to accidents.
