How is Atticus' remark to Jem about why Tom was convicted similar to Dolphus Raymond's?

    After Tom is convicted, Jem, grief-stricken, wants to know why. Atticus, in a state of grief and exhaustion himself, tells Jem : "I don't know, but they did it.
