The frequency of a sound wave determines how fast the sound travels. It is defined that frequency I the number of complete cylcles or waves per second in an alternating current (AC) direction. Its SI unit is in HZ or hertz in honor of the German physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz. The more frequency the sound is the faster it travels. An example of this is the violin. It vibrates 440 Hz or 440 vibrations per second. Therefore the violin will produce more sound.
