A vase of flowers fell on the floor.

In this sentence, we have two prepositional phrases. "Of flowers", "of" is a preposition and flowers is the object. "On the floor", "on" is a preposition and "floor" is the noun that it works with.

During my break, I went to the snack bar.

"During" is a preposition and then "break" is the object. "To the snack bar" is another prepositional phrase. "To" is the preposition and "snack bar" is the object it works with.

You will notice with these common prepositions that there is either a noun or a pronoun after it and that what makes a prepositional phrase and it's called the object of the preposition.
