I had been reaching for the wrong things all along. I

thought my family wanted nice cars and private schools. I -

thought they expected me to provide these for them. I told

myself it was O. K. to make up for "quantity time" by forcing

in some "quality time with an expensive vacation. But they

missed me. You know, a hundred bedtime stories are

worth more than a week in Cancun with a father who's

passed out from exhaustion.
