What motivates Cyclops to ask Poseidon to interfere with Odysseus's journey home?

    Cyclops was irritated with Odysseus because he tricked by him. Odysseus made him blind. Odysseus did not said sorry even if the Cyclops offered to provide him a good treatment. The gods have power over men that is why Cyclops asked his father Poseidon to interfere with Odysseus' journey home as a revenge.
