What is the "wind" that kills Annabel Lee?

    Well it's up for interpretation but I believe Po makes it clear that the "wind" that kills and "chills" Annabel Lee is merely a sickness or a cold she caught and could not recover from. There are many biblical allusions in the poem though, and if you wanted to go for a stretch you could say the "wind" that killed her could be the angel of death
