    C) - ance

    Explanation:

    A suffix is the group of words or word that is placed at the end of a word in order to transform, for example, a verb into a noun.

    Persevere = Verb

    Perseverance = Noun

    Notice, that the "e" at the end of the verb "persevere" dissapears when you add the suffix "-ance". This is a spelling rule. All the words ending in silent "e", when adding a suffix, the "e" is dropped.
