    Jack London's "To Build A Fire" narrates the tragic story of a young miner who had arrived to the Yukon territory in search of gold. Ignoring the warning of others, he ventures out in the cold towards his friends' location. His journey to the mining camp is that of man versus nature. He had to endure the cold windy snowy path, fell into the icy water, and then his fire dies leaving him cold and frozen. Even then he refuses to go back and instead tries to imagine himself almost there. His pride got the better of him and thus ends up freezing himself to death, leaving his dog alone.
