The Swiss technique requires less skills than the normal B3 rescue helicopters, maintenance is lower, and most of all, the loss of life is lesser. It allows the easy rescue operation than the normal helicopter rescue where only a single person can be rescued per trip.

    Explanation:

The Swiss rescue technique regarding the rescue operations of mountain climbers is advantageous over the normal helicopter rescue. This is evident in the answer given by Nick Heil in his radio interview with Robert Siegel in "Helicopter Rescues Increasing on Everest".

According to Nick, the normal rescue operations by helicopters can only rescue a single person one at a time, which may result in the other person left alone. But, with the "arrival of some powerful, new, lightweight helicopters", the rescue operations were able to be more reliable and even have no problem with any high altitude rescue operations. These lightweight helicopter rescue technique from Switzerland called "long line or short haul" allows easy rescue operations as compared to the more complicated manner of normal helicopters. Moreover, the maintenance of the B3 helicopters was high. But with this Swiss technique, the skills to operate the machines is easy and the "margin for error is quite small".
