What is the best way to combine these sentences using a prepositional phrase?

Mom said it was time to paint the house. She had that "don't-try-to-get-out-of-it" look.

A. Mom said it was time to paint the house with that "don't-try-to-get-out-of-it" look.

B. Mom said it was time, with that "don't-try-to-get-out-of-it" look, to paint the house.

C. Mom, with that "don't-try-to-get-out-of-it" look, said it was time to paint the house.

    C is the correct answer, because A and B don't have the prepositional phrase in the right place, it is misplaced, so in A it actually refers to 'paint', when it should refer to the look on her face, and in B the prepositional phrase also incorrectly refers to 'time' in this case. Only the last option has the prepositional phrase in the right spot.
