Mannequin are usually made out of fiberglass; however, they can also be made out of more Earth-friendly materials like paper mache.

    As time goes by, Mannequins are less human. After the introduction of a full-body mannequin in France in 1870, many stores followed suit. However, with time, the technology was replaced by a realistic wax head that had features that were similar to a human being. In the 1920s, the manufacturers of mannequins started using paper Mache than the past materials they were using and made the features more abstract. However, in the modern day's dummy are made from plastic materials that do not have disguising features.
